THE BUCKETTS WALK
​The start of the walk is located on Bucketts Road, 2.5km from Gloucester's Town centre. The walk takes approximately 2 hours but allow extra time to stop for photo's and taking in the sights. This is a moderate walk consisting of moderately steep climbs and a bit of climbing over rocks. Well worth doing though.

In the Billabong Park on the second Saturday of the month 8am to 1pm

GLOUCESTER TOPS
To the South and approximately 1 hour from Gloucester are the Gloucester Tops.
There are beautiful walks, waterfalls and so much wildlife.

COPELAND STATE CONSERVATION AREA
Situated 15 minutes West of Gloucester, is the Copeland Gold Mine. Tours are available on Wednesdays and Sundays - Book through the Visitors Information Centre 6558 1408.
Have a look inside an old mine shaft, see the glow worms on the mine walls, view some of the old equipment used to mine the gold, walk along the recently completed boardwalk, there is a variety of wildlife and Fauna. A must do if you have time.

BARRINGTON TOPS

1 Hour West of Gloucester is the World Heritage Barrington Tops. 1500 metres above Sea Level as you are driving up into "The Tops" you pass through a diverse range of vegetation and there have been over 220 bird species recorded in the area. An ultimate retreat for nature lovers The Barrington Tops was carved from an Ancient Volcano, in the lower valleys, you’ll find World Heritage-listed sub tropical rainforests. Up on the plateau, there is sub-alpine woodland which regularly sees snow in Winter.

Rising sharply from the surrounding valleys, Barrington Tops is a 25km long plateau, set among a series of extinct volcanoes and surrounded by more than 20 valleys. The streams, waterfalls, forests and soaring cliffs all contribute to spectacular wilderness.

You’ll find plenty of ways to explore this wilderness. There are short interesting walks, through rainforest and tall blue gums; wheelchair access is provided at Devils Hole lookout.
